Mischa was the daughter of a wealthy and famous Mischa Barton on the 24th of January in 1986. The birthplace was in Hammersmith England, United Kingdom. Comaneci won two gold and two silver medals in the Olympics in 1980, which brought the total number of medals she has won to nine. Comaneci became a member of the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame, and ABC News named her one of the top women in the 20th Century in 1999. In April of 1996, Comaneci married American Olympic Champion Bart Conner and they have one son Dylan Paul. Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy is one of many gymnastics businesses they jointly own. Comaneci serves as director of the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association as well as the Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. She has also continued to give back to dozens of charitable causes in her native country of Romania including those at the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital in Bucharest.
