Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on the 20th of August, 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. She is known for her role as naive adorable characters. Adams was one of seven children who lived when she was a kid in Colorado's Castle Rock. She was born while her father was employed by the U.S. Military in Italy. In the late 1990s, she started professional dance and acting in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. Then she moved to Minnesota where she was scouted for Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentary film that explored beauty contests. Following her successful screen debut where she played an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet relocating into Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. Also, she raised Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh began her filming career when she signed an MGM deal in the middle of 1940s. Her work was noticed by actress Norma Shearer. In the decade that followed, she appeared in many popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) as well as Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
